Adam Johnston Reviews…

A

I read too much and believe me if I had more free time I would read more. However, although reading comes easily, in fact I can spend large amounts of time just deciding which books I will read next, properly considering and retaining the information is not so easy for me. So to force myself from skim-reading and avoid the Owenian warning of ‘title-gazing’ I have begun this blog. Hopefully, it will be both a blessing to me and an inspiration to anyone who comes across it to reignite their joy of reading.

Topics: I mostly read theology and books on Christian living and it is primarily to engage with these more thoughtfully this blog exists. I am a huge fan of John Owen and love to read books which have stood the test of time. I am also a big fan of fantasy books, so these also will likely appear from time to time and perhaps the odd chemistry book or article as well.

Rules: I won’t take more than 45 mins to write each review so they will be short and if you are intrigued by the content please look elsewhere for a more detailed review. Otherwise, I could easily spend hours tinkering and waffling and incur the just ire of my wife or PhD supervisor.
